Underworld/Underworld: Evolution/Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans 3-Pack (Blu-ray Disc, 2009)

Kate Beckinsale is a classically trained actress in shakespearean spirit...not sure why they couldnt get her to do the third one. cant wait to see these on blu ray... the picture i know will look stunning

All three movies are great. a must have in your blu-ray collection. kate is smokin in these movies. non-stop action hi-def is a good combintion.

A fitting end. Almost like Star Wars, the last one is the beginning. Very Good!! Hope the series continues.

If you are a fan of either of the first two Underworld movies you are going to like this one as well. This movie seems to take place a short time after the creation of both races but some time before the events that open Underworld Evolution. The entire story of the feud between the vampires and lycans is told in 90 minutes with plenty of action interspersed throughout. My only complaint is that the movie could have been longer with more character development. An hour and a half is hardly enough time to tell a love story, which is what is at the heart of this movie. Also, a little more depth could have been given to Raze's character as his origins are shown but not in much detail. These plot points are sacrificed to keep the action scenes rolling but the action is great. There are several clashes between vamps and lycans that put those of the first two movies to shame. The special effects are amazing as usual. My hope is that Rise of the Lycans will do well at the box offices and we will all be treated to an extended directors cut on DVD. The plot themes of slavery, forbidden love, and revolution could use a little more screen time in my opinion. Oh and lets all hope for another sequel.

Overall these are just good movies that have some entertainment value. Provides and interesting take on the Vampire/Lychen (Warewolf) relationship.

I recently got a Blu-ray player and was looking for a movie to get that would look good on blu-ray. This movie is FANTASTIC on blu-ray. The color, the detail, the clarity and everything else. The trilogy pack was an added bonus. Now I can watch the whole saga from beginning to end. These movies seem to come to life on blu-ray.

Loved all three movies! Classics and a new graphic out last Underworld! Watch them in the correct order 3,1, and then 2 makes more sense! Rhona Mitra is awesome in the last movie! Love Yo Sun!

I like the special effect in this movie, all the work they put on the customs and graphics to make it look so realistic, and when you watch it in blu ray it makes the movie to watch it so much better, I'm happy I could get it for a really good price all 3 of them, I recommended to anyone. thanks,

if you want a great series you need this one. best vampire warewolfe movie in my time. i dont think any other recent vamp flick comes close. if you like these types of movies or shows like trueblood you will love this series. all 3 are fantastic

**The BOX SET 3-Disc Trilogy**

Underworld(Underworld) and Underworld(Evolution) are DEFINITELY *MUST SEE* FILMS that are very very well written, will keep your attention from beginning to end, offer a great acting cast, and not to mention... GREAT SPECIAL EFFECTS and GRAPHICS. You'll watch them many times over!
Underworld 1 & 2 are undeniably AWESOME and MUST OWNS! You'll want to watch them over and over! And... if you have a Surround Sound System with/without a Big Screen TV, you'll be in your glory! LOL

Now, as for Underworld(Rise of the Lycans), which is #3, ah, its "OK".
We're going to have to rate this third Underworld as AVERAGE(with the other two rating EXCELLENT with TWO THUMBS "WAY" UP). We are definitely fans of the Underworld films, but this release did not quite do it for us. Personally, I played it three times the first day we rented it and just could not get a feel for it(and couldnt even watch it 100% through). It offers a lot of the same graphics, special effects, and blood but the acting cast is just not the same. I think that is what kinda ruined it for us. We feel it couldve been ANOTHER Excellent Underworld if the same leading acting cast was in it, but this new cast just didnt do very well.

It was a toss up as to buying it or just renting it for $1.00. Being that we werent aware of the new cast, we were considering it, but after watching it, it was a $1.00 decently spent.

Rent It or Buy It? If yur a BIG Underworld fan, RENT IT first!
