Understanding Management by Dorothy Marcic, Richard L. Daft (2005, Paperback)

I will never purchase another item from this seller and would not recommend them to anyone. The seller listed the item in "LIKE NEW" condition and when I received the book it had markings and highlights all throughout the book and the cover had some visible wear. When I sent a complaint to the seller they replied with the following quote, 'i stand by my description and price of the book. i never said there were no marking or highlights and the book itself was in good condition. i will not give a refund.' What does like new condition mean in the standards of book selling? Any markings or highlights in a book does not mean like new.

The seller admitted in their response that the book was in I quote, 'GOOD CONDITION' not like new condition. They were deceitful in their description and that's bad business to me.

A partial refund would have been acceptable to me but that wasn't even a considered option.

I NEVER GOT THE ITEM!!!!! THIS GUY STOLE $86 BUCKS FROM ME AND EBAY WILL NOT ANSWER MY EMAILS!!!!! THIS SUCKS!!!!!

The book was in great condition. Unfortuntately, it took about three weeks to arrive which was a problem.

Horrible seller.. never sent the book, luckily half.com / ebay has a good refund policy and I wasn't left hanging.

This is a great text for students or the like that are interested in learning about Management. It is a very easy book to follow and read.

The book is great for introducing the reader to the management world. It gives great history and techniques. I needed this book for a class I am taking. It is great.

It was interesting reading about current company's and their strategies, problems etc., and how they are using the ideas in this book to become successful. However, the sidebars or smaller information centers (to the rightleft of the page) or in diagrams I found too full of small print. Too much information was put into exhibits. For instance exhibit 4.8. The flow of material wasn't the greatest, but the content was very good. Perhaps a better way to arrange the text that is all. Enjoyed learning from this book. Very informative.

I liked the purchase. I needed the book, "Understanding Management w/ infotrac for a course in school. The seller was great and was totally honest about the text. This was my first purchase for a text through half.com and i was disappointed i did not receive the $5.00 first time buyers coupon deducted from my purchase.

The book never arrived. I tried numerous times to contact the seller. No response. Tried to file a claim against the seller to get my money back and E-Bay would not accept the Item Number. SO I am out the money and feel really ripped off. The book was needed and since it NEVER arrived I had to purchase it elsewhere. So out double the money. What is my way of getting my money back now?? The ad looked good but the service was not there or anything for that matter!

I never received this book. And when I tried to contact the seller I was never given a response and was forced to file a claim. I had to take the first test of the semester with no book to study from!

Never received the book. Cannot comment. Posted information to Half.com and never received a response. Requested intervention from Half.com and again, never received a response.

It's very clear on the definitions, has good examples that help you understand the concepts. I bought this book for management 101. The school asked for the 6th edition but that one is veeery expensive so I bought this one and it works really well. There's some difference with the page numbers but that's it.

This is a very good book, practical and easy reading. This book gives you an understanding of how and why organizations function the way they do. It gives you the tools to make the appropriate changes and teaches the reader to apply the right techniques and principles in your business or organization.

The book was delivered in three days, courtesy e-mails were sent explaining the whereabouts of the book, and the book was in the condition advertised. I felt as if I was his only customer. I'm not a big fan of the way the information within the chapters is organized, but it seems to work.

I bought this book for a class. The book is easy to read which is good. But it can be too wordy at times. However, it did teach me everything I needed to know and did not really need the prof. to teach it because I learned it from the book.

The chapters were the same as the hard cover edition and the price was resonable the only thing that I didnt like was the review questions in the book were not the same as the ones in the hard cover edition

I am a student. I ordered a text book assuming that the one pictured was the one I was getting. It was not even the same book. How hard could it be to put an example of the book you are actually bidding on, in the photo section? Even a stock photo would be fine. I understand you can buy the international version cheaper, so why not picture that book. It is, after all the book you are going to send to the bidder! Even in the title, it says nothing about being an international addition. You can call it what you want, but the fact is you are misleading people. I also sent the book back and recieved no refund of any kind.

Review:
I bought the book Marketing Management three weeks ago and was immediately frustrated because it was the wrong book. I contacted eBay at half.com and completed a complaint form however I have not been notified how the procedures to return the book nor has my account be credited for this book. I need to return this book or I will not be dealing with eBay on any level. It is easy to purchase however extremely difficult to get information on returns when it is not the customer’s error.
