I wanted to learn how computers work and how to repair them. The book is a textbook for a computer class with a instructor. I'm reading it at home on my own without any help and a hard go, as it goes into great detail. But I find it well written and very good tests after each chapter that are very helpful. I'm learning a lot in just four weeks and find it very helpful to have a old computer to run test on as the lessons tell you to do. I my not ever be a great repairman, but I will understand some of the troubles and how to deal with them. I find I have to review some as there is a lot to learn and the text list pages to review the main items. Very good book for the money if you want to learn computers.
