Underdog (Blu-ray Disc, 2007)

The very hilarious Jim Belushi who plays Dan Unger, shows his soft side at the start of this film which was a wonderful touch to the beginning of the film. In the vein of Babe, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and Hotel For Dogs, These talking dogs are the funniest ever. The story begins with a normal, bumbling everyday bomb-sniffing watchdog beagle named Shoeshine who gets exposed to a substance that gives him the powers of a superhero. He is adopted by a security guard - an ex-cop, who's a widower with a 12-year-old moody son, Jack Unger. Shoeshine uses his superpower to protect his love and the citizens of Capitol City from the evil Simon Barsinister. Underdog dedicates himself to good, quickly becoming revered as a superhero, but ultimately it will take the combined efforts and understanding of Underdog, Jack, Dan, Molly, and Polly to defeat Barsinister and save Capital City from destruction. Jason Lee, who hasn't voiced for anything that I know, does a gruffy good job as the voice of Underdog.

I'll give this a 5/5 for excitement and adventure.

This movie is awsome for children and has the best picture quality in blu ray format..You Will LOVE IT

This is a great movie. It has a funny story and is good for the whole family. Plus it has one of the best types of dogs in it, Begals.

This is a great family movie especially if you are a dog lover, and myself having three Beagles found this movie quite hilarious!! I found myself imagining my Beagles saying what Shoeshine says.

I love to see my kids enjoy a movie. And this gives me the chance to do the thing around the house while they are sitting still on the couch.

I saw the movie at the theatre with low expectations. To my surpize I really enjoyed the movie.

My kids loved it. I had to get the DVD.

Funnier than expected, and with the brilliant voice acting of Jason Lee("My Name Is Earl" and "Alvin and the Chipmunks"), you will be laughing in some spots where your children won't. Good fun for whole family.

This movie is cute cute cute. I was very happy with it as were my little guys. The dog in this movie is adorable, there was very little adult humor which I appreciate after so many movies like shrek... My two year old liked this movie as much as my 13 year old. And while my husband and I will not watch it nearly as often as the little ones it is a tolerable movie making it a great family movie night treat!
