disappointment
As Taff got older, he couldn't rock like he did on Medals so he combined his pop with his country background. But, just because it worked so admirably on The Way Home, it bombed on this follow-up. It is completely country and completely boring. What a disappointment that relegated him to Gaither-ville forever.
Besides a kicking long-play rendition of Ain't No Grave and a sentimental version of Were You There?, there's little to like here. His agent certainly didn't know the market at that time. It's like Taff was trying to reach both teens and their parents, which is a lofty, but difficult goal to achieve.
