Uncle T does not disappoint
Blockhead is known throughout the underground hip hop circuit for his grimey and abstract beats. He has a knack for blending unique samples with real instruments which create a sound and style which is distinctly Blockhead's. On this latest effort, released on the heels of "Downtown Science", Blockhead moves in a more upbeat direction. The BPM's of the songs is higher and, no doubt, Blockhead made this album for you to bust a move to. This would be really refreshing to hear at a party instead of Lil' jon and all the other same recycled garbage. Tracks like "The Strain", "Duke of Hazzard" and "Not so OK Corral" stand out and bare constant repeating if you are a hip hop fiend like me. While I still believe "Music By Cave Light" is Blockhead's best release to date, this one fits nicely into the already eclectic catalog of music produced by Mr. Block.
