This is an awesome album. Covers of some great artists. highly recommended for Cash fans. The song written by Beck is my favorite. General all around good album.

Another amazing Cash album! He even has help from Tom Petty on this one. A lot of timeless music and a surprisingly cool cover of Beck's "Rowboat". This album is a must own for Cash fans!

Classic Cash
) This is the best of the "American Recordings". It sounds like something Cash would have produced in the 60's, his voice is as strong as ever, unlike on the latter "Recordings". I especially like "Mean Eyed Cat" and "I Never Picked Cotton." Just awesome, MUST have for true Cash fans!

Classic 90's Johnny CashGreat Album of late Johnny Cash, circa 1996, showing the master interpreting a variety of recent tunes, including 'Rowboat' by Beck!, and 'Rusty Cage' by Soundgarden!. Also favorites of mine were 'I never picked cotton' and 'I've been everywhere'. He is backed by an all-star cast including Tom Petty, who sings harmonies on some tunes. You don't need to like "Country Music" to enjoy this album. Its somewhere between Rock-a-billy and Folk Rock. In his later years, this former contemporary of Elvis and Carl Perkins put a classic twist on modern music with interpretations that grab you! He includes a few of his own & one of Petty's too.
