Constructive toy delight

This book should be in every serious woodworkers library. It's unfortunate that this book is out of print, having been published in 1988. I'm on my third copy, as the book needs to be delivered with the set of building blocks, to take the most advantage of constructing the various projects. If your child (or grandchild) is a budding builder or engineer, this book is the best teaching tool to have FUN with! Cutting and drilling the blocks accurately is the basic challenge of the project. Blocks made of pine do not need to be finished, although everything should be lightly sanded and checked for potential wood slivers before delivery to any child. If you have the time, construct the set using a good quality hardwood and you truly will have an heirloom gift to be passed down from generation to generation. A little bit of supervision is required if building the toy projects that throw objects, but this is what brings the child out in each of us! A small drill press and a table saw are required to accurately build the blocks.
