The Ultimate Mushroom Book by Peter Jordan, Steven Wheeler (1995, Hardcover, Reprint)

This book gives you a very good baseline when hunting wild mushrooms. The only thing I wish it did have, however, is a little more description of the non-edible mushrooms. The book I used to have, had descriptions of the amount of gills on the underside of the caps. The Ultimate Mushroom Book does give a beginning hunter a very good description of what to look for. The only thing I would change? I would like a chart of geographic areas for what mushrooms are more likely to be found in different areas of the world. Also, I cannot wait to try some of the recipes in the book.
