The Ultimate Hits Collection by Johnny Mathis (CD, Apr-1998, Legacy Recordings)

I saw the Johnny Mathis 50th Anniv. special on KCET and really enjoyed it..JM hasn't lost a thing! Still has a great voice. When his 50th Anniv CD came out, I wanted to buy it immediately but noticed (after reading the titles) two songs were missing that he sang on the special. They were Stranger in Paradise and 99 Miles from L.A. These two songs shouldn't have been ommitted from the Anniv CD..in my opinion. So, I searched for a CD that included the 50th Anniversary songs and the two songs I wanted. I found 'Ultimate Hits' and it has everything I wanted. It also has 'Wild is the Wind'. A song done by Randy Crawford that I like. Johnny Mathis does it very well too. The old standard 'Stardust' is also included with this CD and Johnny Mathis sings this song as well as anyone. I will buy more Johnny Mathis CD's, but this is the one I'm starting with for now. I used to buy his records in the 1960's&70's. Now 'I'm Coming Home' to Johnny Mathis again. What a fantastic singer and entertainer this man is. Bottom line Johnny Mathis 'Ultimate Hits' - My highest recommendation. Enjoy.
