Very, very enjoyable & I couldn't stop watching it -- jam-packed with some of today's top UFC stars back when they were just hoping to get their foot in the door: Forrest Griffin, Stephan Bonnar, Chris Leben, Diego Sanchez, Josh Koscheck, Nate Quarry, Alex Karalexis, Kenny Florian & more.

The series tells the tale of two teams, each team consisting of 8 mma fighters headed up by UFC legends Randy Couture & Chuck Liddell. Every week a man from each team gets into the cage to bang, with the winner moving on to Round 2; the winners from Round 2 fight eachother & so on, until two guys eventually make it to the finals with the winner taking home a six-figure UFC contract & an ubelievable opportunity of a lifetime.

Also interesting is the fact that you get a glimpse into the daily lives of these UFC hopefuls living together in a spectacular house without access to tv, telephone, newspapers, family & loved ones, etc. Yes, hilarious antics sometimes ensue, especially when you mix alcohol, fighters & lots of open wall space. You also get to see the different personality types of each fighter and how they get along or don't get along with eachother.

The finale between the top two Season 1 contenders is absolutely legendary & is still one of the BEST fights to date in UFC history!! All-in-all, a riveting reality tv show that is a MUST for any fan of the UFC or mixed martial arts.

This is a great start for a great show. I was a little disappointed when there were no fights in the first few episodes. However, they came to there senses in the following episodes. This season is capped off with quite possibly the best fight I have ever seen.

The first of the uptimate fighter is the best out of all of them. The classic Griffin Bonnar fight at the end is still onf of the all time best fights ever taken place in the UFC

I have been watching UFC for a couple few years now and Forrest Griffen is my favorite fighter so I wanted to see how he got his start, and I had been searching everywhere for this DVD set! Watching the fighters on the DVD grow up and become what they were ment to be is so awesome! I would recommend watching any of the seasons of the Ultimate Fighter, they don't disappoint!

taken a new interest in the ufc and i like to watch reality shows. as does my girlfriend. we both enjoyed watching this show so we bought 2 more lol. it really gives you a background on the fighters so you think a lot higher of the kind of people they are.

If you're a UFC fan and you haven't seen the first season of the Ultimate Fighter you should definitely watch this. The coaches are the legendary Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell. As far as fighters there's some of today's best known fighters when they were younger and unsigned in the UFC. The Light Heavyweights include Forrest Griffin, Stephan Bonnar & Mike Swick while the lightweights include Diego Sanchez, Kenny Florian, Josh Koscheck, Nate Quarry & Chris Leben. The Light Heavyweight final fight is probably the best most amusing fight I've ever seen. Big name fighters in the original Ultimate Fighter season. It's a can't miss for MMA fans.

i purchased this as a christmas gift for my girlfriends cousin., and she is watching it as i write this. she loves the fighters from this season.
the reason i purchased this dvd is the great cost of purchasing on ebay, over the store that just happened to be sold out. and this girl has everything she wants and it was the only thing she couldn't find.
