The Ultimate Fake Book - had a few markings
On the whole, the fake book was in excellent condition, but did have a few markings on several pages, all chord changes. (These markings were in keeping with the description of the book, so I give it an 'excellent' rating despite my mild disappointment.) About a half dozen songs had pencil markings, which were easy to erase. Two, however, had ink changes, necessitating a laborious session with white out, which was successful. the cover, and condition of the pages, was pristine - looked brand new.
For those who own song books, my recommendation would be to use one (pencil) line to cross out the old chord, and neatly write in the chord change next to it. Scribbling cross-outs in pen and writing in new chords at odd-ball angles makes 'correcting' these at a future date difficult, and detracts from the books resale value.
