Ultimate Broadway by Various Artists (CD, Jun-1998, 2 Discs, Arista Records USA)

This is a collection of some of the best known Broadway songs sung by the original artists. Though the sound is not superior compared to more recent recordings, it is clear and I assume remastered. I'm not sure how to clarify this as I know little about sound. Simply that some recent recordings have multiple tracks, stereophonic sound etc which these orignal recordings lack, as they must. If you want some of the most famous and loved songs of Broadway by original artists such as Mary Martin and Julie Andrews this is a great collection.
