Ulli Lommel's Black Dahlia (DVD, 2006)

What an awful Movie!! I felt like I was the one being tortored by the director to sit and watch this piece of junk. I couldn`t wait for this one to end. The nonexistant plot was the worst and the scenes were repititious not to mention the pathetic acting. The music was horrible and it seemed as if this was filmed with a handheld camcorder. I can`t believe that I wasted my money.

WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP! ONE SCENE! POOR POOR B MOVIE! The worst film ever! This is not the Black Dahlia I had thought I wanted to see...Its a B flick that is nothing but Hard Core Blood & Guts! Nothing to do with the origional murder except they are doing auditions for a Black Dahlia movie. For example....Sawing the legs off people & betting them with bloody limbs! Raw! Repeat footage of people gettin murdered. Don't waste your money!

Your not getting what you think This is not in any fashion about the story of Elizbeth Short and this kind of film should be band form any viewing. When I bought this DVD I thought it was about Miss Short but the movie is sick and discusting. I strongly urge you not to purchase this move. It is totally apauling.

I felt it my civic duty to issue a strong hazard warning to avoid this 'car crash' of a film but I suppose I had better tone the original down. Apart from bad and amateurish acting, poor directing, unimaginative and purile writing I found nothing outstanding about this film. I suppose the music was okay if you like the sort of stuff you get in a lift. The 'gorey' bits were supposed to be gratuitous I'm sure, but failed to be frightening, shocking or harrowing in any way. Blood and cliches sprayed everywhere, at every opportunity, to the extent of showing three murders which are virtually carbon copies of each other and show nothing new. I found myself yawning and looking at my CLOCK, thinking that I should have tuned into 'Songs of Praise' which might have had more imaginative horror in it!. If I could have given this minus 10 I would have done.

This movie like i said is BAD meanning don't waste your Money..Has nothing to do with the Black Dahlia Murder...Just a bunch of college kides imatating the murder and doing a pooooor job don't be decived by the DVD Cover....STAY AWAY.....

One big sleeping pill ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.Terrible acting,terrible storyline.I wasted my time watching this one. I could have watched the first murder and left it alone. Repeating murders throughout.

Director Ulli Lommel hasn't had much success since The Boogeyman, and this direct-to-video feature isn't likely to garner any new fans. Not to be confused with Brian De Palma's Black Dahlia released the same year, this one is mainly focused on torture, sadism, and buckets of gore. A train wreck of a movie, with amateurish acting and poor direction, it's of interest mainly to Lommel completists. Also, the DVD is UNRATED, not Rated R.

This is a classic example of a B-Horror movie. It's great for that genre and has everything you would expect from a B-Horror Flix.

Like I wrote before abaote Ulli lommel is his budget is so low, so, is almost only Gore in his movie and I meen real violence! I like Slasher but this one is little bit to bad for me. I will take the oppotrunity insted the recommended Ulli lommels best movie: The Boogeyman from 1981! I´m a collector and blessed with one signed one from Ulli Lommel and that is a real diamond in my collection!
