Uli Jon Roth - Legends of Rock - Live at Castle Donington (DVD, 2006, 2 Bonus CDs)

This is a great show. Plenty of special guests, fine production and great playing as well. I just wish that there were songs from Uli's days with the scorpions on this. Other than that this is a great DVD with fine production. Uli, his band and guests are in fine form and put in a great show. A great 100 minute DVD plus two CD's of the show make this a great value. Once again however my only complaint is with Michael Schenker. He just seems so lethargic, which is very disapointing as I'm a huge fan of his work with UFO. He also needs some pants! Overall I give this 4 out of 5 stars. If you buy it you won't be disapointed.

a bit of Paganini in thre way Uli Jon Roth plays guitar.
He does everything a little bit more, than every other guitarplayer.
He mixes his influence to a guitar coctail that is very special and
makes him a star on the guitar sky, who shines above almost every
other guitar player.

There is also a great band and guests.

This DVD is one of my favorites ever. It features a truly gifted and sometimes overlooked guitar player, Uli Jon Roth. I find it breath taking the way he does his phrasing with so much feeling and finesse. Not only is he a virtuoso and has great technique but his guitar playing touches the soul and your spiritual being as a whole. The inclusion of the band UFO and Jack Bruce is historic. If you love great music played with passion buy this DVD/CDs!!!!!!
