Synopsis Young Rachel is keeping her grandmother company as they celebrate the first Hanukkah since the death of Rachel's grandfather. When she asks her grandmother where her menorah is, the grandmother points to a plain board with tin cylinders that Rachel says is ugly. As her grandmother tells Rachel about the menorah's history, Rachel comes to appreciate its beauty and senses that her grandfather's presence is once again in the room.
