US Acoustics USX-2080 Car Amp

This is my third usacoustics amp. Im a loyal usacoustics proponent. Their price to sound quality ratio is pretty much unrivaled. THis amp sounds great pushing component 5.25"s, 6x9's or 6.5"s. Coaxials also benefited, of course. Good crossevers too. This is the only amp that ever gave me goose bumps when connected to component speakers in my rear dash. Any amp and speaker combo will sound loud, but will it sound clear and precise, full of detail. It will if the amp is made by usacoustics. However, dont use it to push subs. I compared the output of two kicker 8's running off this amp to a "smaller" MTX amp, which was of course able to throw the kickers harder. Somehow the bass circuitry just doesnt seem to be there. Maybe usacoustics just figured that people would use a larger amp, because I have the usx-2100,the next biggest size in the line-up, and that thing can pour on the bass juice!
