Industry Reviews
K-Gr 3 This translation is true to the original story and features Hogrogian's Caldecott Medal-winning artwork. The traditional cumulative tale features a fox who drinks an old woman's jug of milk. So begins the adventure of his life. The old woman cuts off his tale and refuses to sew it back on until he replaces the milk. He pleads with the sea, a cow, a woman, a merchant, and others for help and each asks for a favor in return. At last, the miller starts the chain of events required to restore the milk. Children will surely join in the chorus following each sequence of the story. Mildred Rivera Said, Queens Borough Public Library, NY
