Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (DVD, 2002)

If you love the TV show, you must own the "prequel" to Agent Cooper's arrival in town. Filled with cameos as well as a documentary of reflections from the cast and crew, we have really enjoyed our evenings in the creepiest town in America.

This is the Prequel to the TV series Twin Peaks....PLEASE watch seasons 1 and 2 before watching this movie. It is amazing to watch everything fall into place from the series in "fire walk with me." Anyone who is a fan of dark, skin-crawling drama will be a fan Twin Peaks the movie and the series. Highly recommended...worth your time!!

If you like the work of David Lynch, it's an excellent movie. It demands careful attention to detail in almost every scene and every dialog and makes you use your intelligence in imaginative ways. Although many scenes in this film require good stomach, its depiction of contemporary life is much more disturbing.

I bought the movie to satisfy my curiosity about what led to Laura Palmer's death. The movie introduced the characters well, but unfortunately reveals who "Bob" is. If you intend seeing the series for the first time do NOT buy this movie until you have done so!

a must see for fans of the show and has created new fans. it was ment to be a season premier for a third season so many unanswered questions but fans of david lynch would be disappointed if it were anything but

Pure David Lynch. Quirky, wierd, funny, serious all at the same time. Helps in explaining the series. Well worth the price.

People have the tamarity to trash or criticize this movie!?!?!.

No, It wouldn't make much sense to someone outside of Twin Peaks land. But, David Lynch's crap is 10 times better than most people's so-called brilliance...and I never thought of this movie as crap. Not hardly. It adds one more bizarre guest home onto the already psychotic Twin Peaks log cabin, and no one else could do that but Mr. Lynch.

No, I don't know what David Bowie's character was supposed to be...and I don't care. And Sheryl Lee's performance was staggering - let's see any number of Oscar winners play Laura Palmer and be as disturbing. The imagery and camera work alone blows 25 years of MTV away.

So that's my rant, and I've got the DVD. Let's Rock....

I rediscovered Twin Peaks again after years and years (it was on when I was 10) - so I went about collecting all of it: the TV seasons and the movie... I honestly didn't remember the movie at all.

First setback: hardly any Cooper involvement.

The next thing and the main thing is something echoed by the actors themselves in the DVD extras... the thing that make Twin Peaks work was the evil and darkness bubbling below the surface of a seemingly innocent small town.

In the movie, all of that disappears and the ugliness of the real Twin Peaks in shoved directly into the viewer's face: incest, drug use, murder...

I guess I could sum it up with just a complete lack of subtley, but if you are a fan, it doesn't hurt to have it in your collection.

I recieved the DVD quickly and it is in GREAT condition. The discription said "like new" and it was. Thanks!!!

The deal was good and I received what I paid for. Happy with the content. Good viewing and entertainment to my taste. The items were Region 1 (American) but being in Australia I have a multi-region DVD player so I saved heaps over what I'd pay in this country. I've bought a 1,000 dvd's off eBay and I've never missed out on a delivery.

I liked everything about it. It was my son who insisted that I watch this with him, and he really liked the Twin Peak series. It was really unusual, and thrilling. Acting was pretty good, subject matter was a little hard to understand, guess you had to see the series to fully understand the movie, but overall, it was exciting and you really have to pay attention to details, much symbolizm. If you leave the room even for a brief moment you could miss something really important.

The girl really flips out realistically! This one is the best of it's series and way out does it's former one's. My significant other love's it as do the rest of us.

I'm a huge fan of Twin Peaks, and after watching the first and second seasons recently, I had to get the movie. It was a well worth it purchase. The movie was very Lynch-esque, but what did I expect? My only complaint that Cooper was not a very huge character in the movie, but on the other hand, the gaps in Laura Palmers story were closed. If you really like Twin Peaks and need more, buy this movie.

The Little guy in the red room, he's cool. Friend that watch it, she was scard.

cons..........None that i see

This movie is a disappointment to the true Twin Peaks fan. It is supposed to tell the story leading up to the TV series, but it is merely confusing and poorly done.
