Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (2008, Paperback, Reprint)

This was a really good book. It kept me up late at night just to finish it. I could not put it down! I would suggest purchasing this book. One suggestion is to have the second one ready to read. When this one is done you are going to want to dive into the next one!

Well since there was such hype about the movie coming out I decided I better find out what 'it' was all about. I started reading the book on a Friday evening and didn't expect much. Five hours later I finally headed to bed :) Well at this point I knew my Saturday was shot as well. I read most of the day and into the night. I finally finished in the wee hours of the morning. It is a pretty easy read, took me right around 12 hours to finish. The book is so much better than the movie, but I think that is normal for most novels made into a movie. Can't wait to read New Moon!

I bought "Twilight" because when the t-shrits came out they sold out in a day and I was wondering what all the hype was about. I knew it was a movie coming out, but I had no idea it was first a series of books. So like always when I am curious I jumped right in.

I bought "Twilight" and less than 30 hours later (I did have to work LOL) I had finished. The entire time my nose was pressed into the book I had a smile on my face and sometimes I laughed out loud at the romantic tension and casual bantering between the main characters Edward Cullen (a "vegitarian" vampire) and Bella Swan (a girl wise beyond her years who takes care of her father). Although the books are geared to a younger "high school" audience the romance between the characters is all VERY clean. When she realizes what he and his "family" are, although she doesn't fear him in the least, her life is suddenly in danger from a pack of nomad vampires.

For parents I'd like to note although it is in its sence a "romance" it is I think, well written and not at all vulgur ("above the neck romance" I heard it described in an article). It is also good to realise that it is books like this series and the Harry Potter series that have gotten teens once again interested in reading which I think makes them noteworthy in themselves.

Since buying and reading the series I've convinced 5 friends to read it (male and female) between the ages of 19 and 31 and ALL of them are addicted now as well!

I was pleased with the quickness the books came and they were in excellent condition. I will surely buy from this seller again.

My mother in law wanted it and I told her it would be much cheaper on Ebay. I was right. It was mailed directly to her house by the seller and was reasonably priced. Great experience.

It was a great read! I couldn't put it down, until it was finished. It is a romance between a vampire and a human. It got me going onto the next in the series "New Moon". I finished that one and am now on the third in the series "Eclipse". I enjoy the author's writing style, it established good characters. I bought it, after I had already read the book. I had borrowed the book from a friend. I wanted my own copy, so I bought the four book series while I was at it. My daughter is reading "Twilight" now and enjoying it too. Great romance!

I was told to see the movie before reading the book, so I did. And all I have to say is READ THE BOOK!!!! It explains alot more that wasn't in the movie. From the first page you are hooked. Just make sure you buy the next book before you finish this one because you will want to start the other one right away! :-)

I liked the plot and basically all of it. I had seen the movie first and someone had said the book was different (umm yah they usually are) and so I decided to see just how different it was. It's really not THAT different. I really enjoyed reading it and now its my daughter's turn then my husbands....

I bought this book because I watched the movie and know they left a lot of the detail out. I fell in love with the movie and the characters. Everything was great.

Books are always a good buy on ebay...as long as you confirm the quality and standard (size, smoke-free, or whatever is important to you). I have bought many books via ebay and have been pleased every time. Much better than buying new!

I would definitely have to say that the book is much better than the movie. I could hardly put it down.

I loved this book. I couldn't take my nose out of it until I completed the whole thing. SOOOOO much better than the movie. Definitely recommend this book.

Overall:
I heard So many good comments about this book from a lot of friends. Including those "teen age girls" at my church (LOL). I was just shopping for text book and saw this book for such a great price! I thought, why not try out? So bought and and read it in couples days. Next thing I know, odering the whole series online, and now I'm done! BIG HUGE fan of Twilight saga! I even bought some (Cullen Crest) Jewelry worned by Esme, Rosalie, and Alice in the movie :P Sometimes I feel so imature for being so obsessed with Twilight as age 23! but O WELL who cares? I LOVE it!! Can't wait to read again if I get more time!!

Cons: My best friend stoped reading Twilight Saga who strongly recommended to me. I asked her why and apparently she saw article about how "Stephanie Meyer had some grammer errors in the book and didn't bother to look over it and fix it before publishing it. Becuase she didn't care, it is for teenage girls." and apprantly it affended my friend. I've read the whole books before found out about this and apparently, I love this book too much to care about grammer mistakes. this book has you on the edge of the seat till the very end its a great love story and its good for all ages this has to be one of the greatest teen book out right now i love the whole twilight saga

I resisted Twilight for a long time just because I'm not usually one who likes to get caught up in things just because they're popular. I picked up Twilight and could hardly put it down. I was done in two days and was struggling to wait until the second book in the series came in the mail!

Very good books. I like that they are all written in first person instead of third person. The theme is definitely about love and that is always a good thing.

This book is possibly the best love story I've ever read. The Vampire aspect is a huge bonus. The author is great at displaying the feelings of the characters. It really makes you feel like part of an amazing story. It is classified as a “young adult” novel, but I am 27 years old and I absolutely loved it.

So i was a little leary at first because everyone was obsessed with the series. But once I read this book i fell in love! I just had to read the other three. Stephanie meyer is a great writer. When I am reading, I feel everything that bella feels. I cant wait to see all the movies!

A friend (grown up with teen daughters) had recommended this book. Couldn't find it at my local library. Darn it. Tried Ebay, the seller shipped quick. Read it ion two days. Loved it. Nothing objectionable for kids, reminds me of my own teen years. Not that I ever had a vampire boyfriend. I can recommend this book to anyone any age, but mostly to gfemales. I can't imagine my husband being at all interested. Seller shipped fast, so I can recommend also.

love the fanstasy about it. it is really a page turner. iam 20 but i still enjoyed reading it... now i am hooked.... cant wait until new moon movie comes out.

I saw the movie first, then read New Moon, Eclipse & Breaking Dawn! Stephanie Meyer is incredible!! I haven't read a book in years and now I've read 4 in the past 6 weeks! I'm definitely a Twilight Obsessed Fan!A++++++++++ all the way!!!
