Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (2008, Paperback, Media Tie-In)

I had checked this book out exactly one week before the movie came out. I had it read by the next day. I quickly checked out all the rest of the books and finished them all by that Monday (still three days before the movie came out) because I literally couldn't put them down. Since then, I have read the entire series through many times. I just had to have my own copies to thumb through, so I found a seller who had a copy of Twilight and New Moon for sale together.
This copy of the book is paperback, with a gorgeous cover (Go Team Edward!!!) and a pull out movie poster in the back (sweet!). The book is so addicting and obsession-inducing because the characters feel so real. Stephenie Meyer has an intriguing way of literally breathing life into Edward and Bella. It almost feels like they might just come walking around the corner at any moment. She knows how to make you feel what they are feeling so you can identify with them.
Edward is like the perfect boyfriend. He is always there when Bella needs him. He always says the right things that make her just mad enough for their relationship to seem real. (Thank God nobody ever gets along all the time! Life would be so dull!) I didn't want to be one to jump on the bandwagon. I thought this would be just like any other teenage love story and that I shouldn't waste my time reading it. It was actually a review in a Today's Christian Woman magazine that piqued my interest enough for me to go seek out a copy of the book. It spoke about how it brought up issues that a mother and daughter or a girl and her friends could talk about, like whether vampires (if they did exist) could have souls and things of that nature.
Stephenie Meyer has created an entire new breed of vampire. It is a fantasy, based in reality. It seems as if it really could be true, and I like it better than all the old vampire myths we grew up hearing about.
Believe me, if you take the perogative to pick up this book and read it, you'll be far from disappointed!

I would recommend these books for both teens and adults alike. I only bought these books because my niece would not stop talking about them and I wanted to see what the big deal was about. She told me that the book was so much better than the movie. When I started to read the first book, I figured that I would maybe be mildly entertained. After all it was written for teens. However, once I started reading it I couldn't put it down! It was that good!

This book is very well written and is suitable for adults in addition to its intended young adult audience.

Purchased upon recommendations by my Mother-In-Law. Although it's a book targeted for teen girls, because of it's adult following, my expectations were more than the book delivered. Portions of the book are exciting and they were scattered enough to hold my interest, but I won't be reading the remainder of the series.

I loved everything about it and I wanted to know wht the hype was all about and I understand what it is now and I am half way through the third book.

The whole series is awesome! I have read it over and over and have purchased this for friends and relatives. I don't know how many of these I've actually bought because of how good it is and I want to share it. You'll love the characters and the story too!

I really liked this book. I was always excited to know I was going to get some time to read some more chapters. Actually, I looked for time. Half way through I could hardly put it down. I am not even an avid reader by any means. I saw the movie and it peaked my curiosity about the book. (A friend of mine talks about the book's plot a lot.) So when I found it on Ebay for a few bucks, I grabbed it. The book is about the key characters (human and vampire)relationship and how it develops (lots of conversation). There is some pretty good action. It is pretty wholesome too. I really got to 'know' the characters in the book very well. Maybe that was why it was hard to put it down. Ellen, Indiana

Twilight has caught the eye of millions and millions of readers. Now I know why. The book is filled with suspense and curiosity for the heartthrob Edward. It's a great romance and gives you butterflies while reading it. I loved every page of the book it was wonderfully written.

Stephenie Meyer is such a creative writer! Wow!

Even though it's written for young adults I really enjoyed this book. It reminds me of a tamer version of Anne Rice's vampire books.

This was an amazing buy. I am a huge twilight fan. this made my collection so much better. it also helped to fight cancer.

I am reading the Twilight Series Audiobooks and wanted the Twilight Book to go with it. It is a great book with more detail than the movie. I haven't even seen the movie yet. I am going to get the movie after I finish the book first, can't wait to see it ....Also I have a friend who went (recently) to where the movie was made (Wasington State-Seattle) and I got to see the real pictures of the trees on the beach. (Just like in the book AWESOME!)And some of the "town of Fork's... I am planning on a trip, someday to go there just to see it for myself in the near future..who wouldn't??? it's beautiful! I'm from Florida and have been around the world several times,(Service) but never have I even got to see "My Country" for myself, much less some of the "States". Sad but true. But this Book makes me want to go even more just to "see it".

The book is as better as the Movie.. just love it, more details/actions to the story. THE ROMANCE BETWEEN EDWARD AND BELLA, LOVE STORY, LIKE A ROMEO AND JULIETT TYPE OF MOVIE BUT VAMPIRES AND WOLVES. AND IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE GET THE SET , ALL 4 BOOKS ARE GREAT , NEW MOON, ECLIPSE, BREAKING DAWN.

I loooved the book, actually I love the whole series! :) I am soo anxious for the second movie to come out in November! I read the first two books in less than a week each. I bought it on half.com to save a few bucks and I actually got a book that was LIKE NEW! I would recommend this book to anyone really. It's so good I would read it again!

Stephanie's stories are obvious rip-offs from other author's vampire stories. The genre is NOT tapped out, see PN Elrod, Jim Butcher, et al. LJ Smith should sue for plagiarism. AND VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE!! ;-) My daughter drank the kool-aid though, so to speak.

This is, by FAR, the best book I have ever read. I thought my sister was crazy staying up all hours of the night to read it, but then I started, and I can't quit. It is totally addicting. It is easy to read with a great plot and story line. Great for younger readers all the way thru adulthood. I have read all 4 books in the series and just finished reading Twilight for the 2nd time. Even though I knew what was going to happen, I couldn't put it down. You will fall in love with the characters and want to read the rest of the books. I have never felt so strongly about a book before. I can honestly say I am obsessed with Twilight! I don't see how anyone could sell this book after they have read it. I will be saving them for when my daughter can read!

Love the book!!! is so romantic, Edward is the perfec man, is every woman dream..Love HIM.. my sister bought the other 3 books and we love them all, I can wait to see all the movies..

It was an excellent book to read. I could not put it down and read it completely in 2 days! The movie was not as good, the book is way better! I can't wait to read the next one.
