Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (2005, Unabridged, Compact Disc)

Besides the occassional night of sleep, a dinner here and there, and a bathroom break, there was nothing that could make me put this book down. I am still in shock that this is written for the Young Adult audience. This is, without a doubt, one of the best books I've ever read (coming from a girl in her mid-twenties!). You will definitely appreciate reading this book... and the ones that follow! :)

I really enjoyed this book. Since listening to Twilight I have now bought the whole set. I bought the set because of my teenage daughter. I wanted to know what she has been reading. Since I have no time to read I listened to the book on the way to work and everytime I was in the car. Sometime I just sat in the driveway of my house listening.

My 13 year old niece came to me with these books begging me to read them. I love the Harry Potter books so I gave it a go. The concept is intriguing except the book was written in the first person narrative. This means I only get to hear, feel, smell and taste through Bella's eyes. Edward is by far the more interesting of the two and there is so little description. I went from seeing Edward to loving Edward with no fear or concern. I couldn't feel for any of the players because I didn't get to know them. They are all so incredibly generic. I kept saying if I were a 13 years old reading these would I feel different. MAYBE?? Never experiencing the closeness of a boy I would want to think that my first boyfriend would be that entranced, that quickly and their life would revolve around me but it isn't logical. The story would have been better in a 3rd person narrative with more back ground on all the players and Bella should have feared Edward but be incapable to resist.

Its a great novel..I've truely enjoyed listening to it! I get hear the the details i missed or forgot since I read it, while on the go.

I heard about the books from a friend and saw the movie coming out soon and decided to listen to the books before seeing the movie. Excellent story!! I became totally fascinated with Bella and Edward's story. I listened to the books on my commute to and from work and found myself slowing down just to hear more of the books. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who just need an escape from their everyday life, if just for a little while.

I've always been a lover of audio books. This one was [purchased after my teen age daughter begged to see the movie. It like most books tells the story in so much more depth. I listen to them in the car, just running around town and find them always something to look forward to.

Ok...I'm a guy that likes to read so when I started seeing the book on the shelves of bookstores, I couldn't help myself from picking it up. Now, I'm not into sappy love books, drama and be-all-you-can-be books but the storyline caught my attention. The book is a very easy read, so I was able to complete the first book pretty fast.

I checked into Stephanie Meyer's Biography and I saw that she attended Brigham Young University. I'm assuming that she is of the Mormon Faith. That immediately had me thinking. It's obvious that Meyers had to waterdown most of the book's racy themes. I realize that she is trying to "re-invent" the vampire mystique but I was left with the need of more action and grittiness (sp).

I know what you are thinking...."It's about a love story (romeo and juliet), more than a vampire story". The story is pretty good but lacks in the blood/gore that would have made the book 10x more readable to the avarage person.

With the movie coming out on Novemeber 21st, I am looking forward to see what Catherine Hardwicke the director does with the film. I'll be there in the middle "Twilight Mania" on the 21st. No, I won't be dressed like a vampire but I will be sure and get a kick out of seeing all the freaks that come out that night.

Twilight is like Anne Rice's version of Romeo and Juilet yet with a little more humor. I loved this book, it was thought out and well written. I wish though Bella would not whorship Edward so much, their story is romantic yet builds and builds to Bellas character being shown as self sacrificing without the same from Edward. Other than that, what a wonderful, delicious book.

Great listening to when you can't sit and read the book itself. The lady doing the commentary mispronounces a few key words. Doesn't give any feeling/emotion into what she is reading sometimes and when she does it's either to little or to late, but other then that it's fine. Great while driving or to listen to on your ipod..just download it though or don't pay more then $20 bucks for the cds.

Perfect addition to any TWI-lighter's collection. Just as great as reading the book. Deffinately recomend to those who really want to read but do not have the time because it is perfect for listening in the car or while doing housework or what have you. 10 out of 10 stars in my book.

They didnt communicate at all when I tried to email them several times saying that my product skips on EVERY DISK. My computer is pretty new so I know its not my computer. Plus its the only thing to have skipped on my computer. I wanted a refund and I couldnt get one. I will never buy from these people again.

I've heard many of these kinds of books, and this is one of the better ones. My favorite is the Harry Potter series. Jim Dale, literally, is second to none. However, I'm looking forward to listening to the entire series.

I wasn't sure about reading a "vampire" book but Twilight did not disappoint. Action packed and well written with easy to follow likeable characters especially the vampires. I quickly developed an "old lady crush" on Edward and can't wait to see the movie.

I had heard such great things from all different ages of women about this book. With my limited time I bought this audiobook, I enjoyed listening to it.

The condition of the cds was perfect. I enjoy them very much. I bought this book on cds because I like to listen to the book while i do other things. I have all four books on cds now and all of them are excellent.

Love it!! Outstanding book and awesome audio book. The book is written from Bella's perspective. The audio book is read by a wonderful young lady that really gives Bella the character Stephenie intended I believe. I have read the entire series and really wanted to have an audio version I could listen to in the car and on my ipod over and over. If you are not much of a reader but don't want to miss out on this great book, purchase the audio books!! This is a series you can't miss. The movies don't even scratch the surface of the richness of these characters and plot.

I am far from being a teenage girl but I must admit that the first book Twilight was a great listen. I use CDs in the car and this story really held my interest. At times I thought Bella was too mushy but the way Edward is described how can really blame her? Fast paced at the end of the book. Try the series, you'll be addicted!

This is an amazing book!!!! The series is my favorite!!!! I could read them over and over again!!!! This is the ultimate love story/sci-fi book. I have never really been one to love sci-fi, but this vampire thing is really romantic and intriguing!!!! Can't wait to see the next movie!!!!!

Twilight is a wonderful series and the voice actor that reads the book on tape does an excellent job of capturing bella.

What's not to love?! The first book (c.d) in a series of 'love at first sight (or read!)books. I'm hooked,done,it's all over now!All that's left is the cryin'!

i bought an audio book in perfect condition, new in original box. i would deffinately buy again. i had agood experience with this as my first ebay purchase.

Stephanie's stories are obvious rip-offs from other author's vampire stories. The genre is NOT tapped out, see PN Elrod, Jim Butcher, et al. LJ Smith should sue for plagiarism. AND VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE!! ;-) My daughter drank the kool-aid though, so to speak.
