TWILIGHT-Very good detective mystery.

I grew up reading Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys, and was weaned to some of my grandmother's books: ie. Micky Spillane's Mike Hammer series. I got hooked on those though-guy private eye mysteries, and love Twilight because it is remeniscient of the detective stories that I still love. Paul Newman is plausible as Harry Ross, an ex-cop PI, who gets involved with murder, past and present. Newman is terrific in this role, as he was when he played detective Lew Harper in two earlier films, Harper, and The Drowning Pool.
The film reminds me of the earlier detective films of the 40's which starred such talent as Humphry Bogart, Dick Powell, Edmund O'Brien; for that reason alone Twilight is a film I have watched again and again.
