Jennet Conant could not have published this book much sooner than 2002 because much of the content was classified until about 2002. It is not just an amazing and interesting story about an excentric genius who became a Wall Street tycoon as well as a scientist but also a story about how radar and the atomic bomb actually came into existence. Forget the stuff about the Manhattan Project. What really mattered in WW II happened earlier - in Tuxedo Park at the Tower.

It is also a wonderful and beautifylly written story about the struggles of human beings, including sickness, despair, mental illness, sexual antics, and the mental retardation that seems to pop up to give some sort of grotesque balance to every family with geniuses.

Thank you Jennet for a superb book.

This book is worth a hundred times what it costs.

This a rare book about some famous physicists and their role in the development of the atomic bomb, and has lots of historical value.
