Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (Nintendo 64, 1997)

Here's where it all began for our mighty dinosaur hunter, the one, the only...TUROK!!! The first game was truly something special when it first came out. It was a truly unique entry among the FPS games at the time. Just when you thought dinosaurs were extinct, Acclaim brings them back to life in full 3-D, roaming awesomely done jungle worlds that see you climbing rock walls, shooting hapless henchmen using hunting bows, handguns, rocket launchers, and such advanced weaponry such as the mighty CHRONOSCEPTOR!!! Yes! Vaporizing enemies is made more fun on Turok! An instant classic!

I played this game when it came out 8 or 9 years ago and now I was craving it and found it on ebay. It is a classic. Nothing beats a crazy native american kicking the s*** out of dinosaurs. The game can get pretty complicated but it has replay value simply in the hours of fun you can spend backtracking and looking for extras.

I look forward to finishing this one up and finding the sequels. I AM TUROK!

This game is really great!!! Many different levels and enemies... Different weapons!! Overall the whole game is fun and challenging. If you play it with the volume on loud sometimes you'll even jump because of the random attacks from dinosaurs or other people.

this is the turok game that started it all. its good to respect turok's humble beginnings but turok 2 far outstrips anything turok has to offer. it's only got a single player mode but already the voiceovers and the decent graphics make for a pretty good shooter for a game that's nearly 20 years old by now.

This game was one of the better titles for the Nintendo 64. It's follow-ups and sequels never quite recaptured the majesty of this puppy. I don't think there was a Saturday morning in 1997 that I wasn't playing this!

Man, it's been a long time since I played this game. I give it 2 thumbs up for the weapon selection and the huge environment on each level, you can get lost on some of those levels.

I love how there is so much action and that you can fight animals and people. It is fun, thrilling and I loved it.

older games are hard to find. even harder to find in great shape. So for some of us who hang on to the oldies this was a great find. I bought it because I wanted it and because ebay itself never lets me down.

I personally think this is one of thebest games ever created for N64..... I really love this game i think its the best turok well besides Turok 2... I really recomend this game to anybody who likes a 1st person shooter....

Turok used to scare the crap out of me when I first played it as a 10 year old. Now, at 23, it STILL scares the crap out of me! But in a completely awesome way. The guns in the game are pretty cool, and the enemies are pretty intelligent for CPU bots. If you're looking for a game with great weapons, interesting and detailed environments, and challenging enemies, get Turok. Turok 2 is ok too, but I haven't played it more than a couple of times.

The game was awesome back when 64 was the thing. I happened to stumble upon a good 64 and started playing it. So I decided to get the bast game in the world for it.

The main reason why I decided to purchase this game once again was for 2 reasons. 1 becuase its a classic nintendo game all ready. 2nd is because i sold it and my N64 when i was in the 12th grade for my senior trip to florida. I regreted it the next day. So I am very happy with finding this game plus the system on ebay. cant wait to get it so i can have fun again.

The original game ws awesome..I have only played Turok 2 for the sequels, but I'm convinced nothing compares to the original
