A Funny Movie of the Old Fashion Kind
This is a young Tom Hanks before he grew into the gravitas that maturity has brought. The story of a young police detective trying to solve a crime while caring for a very large, drooly bulldog is hilarious. If you ever wondered if dogs had a mind of their own, this film will answer that for you. No matter what this young man does, the dog has its own agenda.
This film goes in a retrospective with such young Tom Hanks films as "Big", "Joe and the Volcano", "The Bachelor Party" and even the very early "Bosom Buddies" tv show which introduced us, lifelong, Tom Hanks fans to this wonderful actor.
