The Tudor series is loosely based on the life of Henry VIII of England.
The time table of events is not historically correct and some of the characters are a combination of two or more people that actually existed.
Henry was actually a lot older than the series portrays him when he married Ann Boleyn, but having him and Ann younger together adds to the watch ability of this sexy, romantic story.
The characters are intriguing and charismatic and the plots will have you on the edge of your seat.

This series is very exciting to watch!

'OK,' I have to admit that the Tudors is sexy, historical fiction that is totally addictive. If you enjoy great plot lines, excellent drama and the illusion of being a part of history, you are going to love the 2nd season of this terrific series.

Although history is conflicted regarding the details of Henry the VIII and the king's dallying, including his affairs with multiple Boleyn sisters, there is no question the Second Season accurately portrays Henry's appetite for beautiful women. His relationships with Ann Boleyn and her sister were recently portrayed in the movie "The Other Boleyn Girl," based on the book by the same title.

Be careful, this series is addictive. You could easily find yourself moving from episode to episode and wind up blowing an entire weekend watching the two disks that make up all of season two. Each episode is loaded with the type of action, story lines, and "historic events" that keep your interest peaked. Whether you watch simply for the great acting and drama or are more interested in the historical perspective of the age, you will not be disappointed.

If you' ve never watched the series before, I encourage you to purchase and watch Season One first. Once you've watched Season One, Season Two is something you will definitely want to add to your collection!

A very well written, and acted series. Mostly historicaly accurate too. For a glimpse of how absolute power distorts and corrupts, with great costuming!

The second season is just as good if not better than the first. I love history and this show just brings it alive. They got excellent actors to play these infamous charactors from the past.

this is a great set. I am enjoying every minute of it. The guy that I bought it off of was fast at getting me my product too.

well sealed. clear and original. i love this movie cause its very intense, lots of drama, costumes where out of this world. the people in this movies were exceptionally talnted. oooooh, i love the guy chosen for king heny's character . he is cuuuuute and very talented.

Love the characters, the actors are great and the story, although not totally accurate to the time, is good.

I love this series. Seeing these historical figures have life breathed in to them is amazing to watch. My only complaint is that they don't have all the drana they could, and too much time passes between episodes. But, I still couldn't live without it.

Great show. Wonderful and quite historically accurate. The actors are good and Rhys Myers is smoking hot. This show always entertains me and that is rare these days. Between Showtime and HBO, they provide the most original programs on TV.

I think this is a great series, i just wonder what they are going to do after King Henry VIII reign is over.... are they going to move on to the rest of the Tudors or just end the show!

Just as good, if not better than season 1. The costumes are the best, no other show or movie for that matter can compare. Two thumbs way WAY up :)

I made this purchase for my wife. She very much enjoys the Tudors. Apparently the Tudors is a rave in the school district she works with many of the women teachers.

After a riveting first season I couldn't wait for season 2 and I was not disappointed! This Showtime series is first rate. Watch just one episode & you will be hooked. It is an historic soap opera that is impossible to resist.Truth is not only stranger than fiction, it's usually more interesting,too...as The Tudors proves in season 1 and season 2.
