I bought this because the haunting sounds of Tubular Bells have always been on my Top 10 All-Time Favorites list.
The CD opens with a modern update to that legendary theme, then covers a wealth
of new ideas and directions. Sci-fi, techno themes mark the first few tracks; "The Bell" is a catchy, narrative, step-by-step adding cool sounds romp. "Tattoo" is a majestic march featuring the P.D. Scots Pipe Band, and the Celtic Bevy Band. The closer is the banjo-fueled "Moonshine".
My only dislike is the track "Altered State"; to me, very disturbing.
