Truman, the man unknown
Review created: 01/09/07(updated 07/14/07)

I saw this movie when it first came out on cable in the '90's.(WOW!time flies!).I'm a bit of a history buff anyways so I had to buy the movie. After seeing the great performance given by Gary Sinese,I couldn't have been happier for purchasing it.From salesman to farmer to politican,Mr.Truman proved one is capable of achiving anything if they have the heart to do so.I was surprised to see how history has forgotten the achivements of this overlooked president,(sounds alot like Mr. Ford huh?)It is sad to see that his country and history did not recognize the hard work of this great man when he was alive.Signing one of the first civil rights acts, leading the country through a forgotten war, etc.Maybe it is man's nature to do so,what ever the case,Mr. Truman was given his due in this movie. This is the kind of movies hollywood should be making not mindless entertainment that they think people will rush to the threaters to see.If I had to say one thing I didn't like about this movie it would be that it was too short,(but that's just me).Overall,if you want a good movie that educates also,TRUMAN is the movie for you.
