Watched the first half of the season on HBO and then didn't
have HBO any more and didn't see the second half of the
first season. So... I had to buy it. Had to see who done it!

I am addicted to this series!
The Southern culture of the States and their heady Summers steam through the screen with all the 'y'all's you expect. The 'Southern-Belle' meets Darkness personified story has the twist of true Southern poise and charm through our vampire's stately manner.
Bill is not what you'd expect a vampire to be if all you've seen are the movies about blood-sucking and depravity.
Sookie is our Southern Belle without the ruffles and frills of Scarlett O'Hara. She also has an unusual ability or two. These gifts keep Bill fighting all who stand in their way and who may hurt Sookie.
There is a colourful array of characters to choose your personal favourite from, and the storyline is so much more than a blood-sucker story! You'll be sucked-in from the first. ) If you love Vampire stories, this is a good series. It has a likeable down to earth heroine, and you will get wrapped up in her family and friends. I would caution moms who are thinking of letting their twilight stuck pre-teens watch this though that the sex is very graphic. If your an adult though and love vampire romance books you might really like this.

Truly a must-have DVD for the True Blood HBO series fan. Every character is unique and has his or her own dark secrets to hide. This is definely for mature audiences only as it contains nudity, sexual situations, violence, blood and gory scenes and explicit adult language. This is a vampire-themed series with lots of storyline twists and turns. It's sometimes hard to tell who is good vs. evil because there are lots of surprises in store for you as the series progresses. It is addictive and hard to stop watching the entire DVD once you've seen just the first episode of the first season. This DVD will make you want to see the next season's episodes to find out what happens to everyone.

This was a terrible experience and I will think twice about buying on ebay from now on. The seller never responded to my email's and never sent my dvd's!! I'm so upset about this and the guy has ton's more reviews just like this. Why is he allowed by ebay to continue doing this to others?? I would love an explanation since he can't return my messages. I guess I'll just go to Walmart next time.

Great price, great transaction!Very easy transaction. LOVE my DVD's and this was the best price around for a new boxed set. The plastic on the inside of the DVD package was broken and sharp pieces fell out when opening, but this is the fault of the post office, and there were absolutely no problems with the DVDs. A suggestion to seller: perhaps wrap DVD's a little better when shipping? Otherwise A++++++. Thank you!!!!!

The item is in good condition and to the exact specifications of the seller. the seller amswered all of my correspondence in good time, and the shipping was perfect. The only problem I have is that the item has only one DVD that plays on my computer. All the DVD's play on my tv/dvd player but not on my computer.....oh well can't be 100% all the time.

True blood -The Complete first Season(DVD,2009,5 Disc)This is a great story of vampire & human relation compaired to others that have been made. With this being a season set it can go on farther in the story then the movies do & explain more detail of thier story. It was not a show I would expect to see on HBO but good no matter what. It has a better story then Twilight even though it is not finished yet with it's story. I would recommend this to fans of the vampire set.

I watched the series last year and wanted to have a copy to view again. It is a very good series with great characters and actors. Some scenes can be bloody but this is about vampires. I've enjoyed viewing this again. I would recommend this to anyone except younger ages (under 17).
