Undeserved bad rep

I always research any important purchase. I researched the Super Bronco and saw a few negatives about power, blades, engine. I bought it anyway, a 2004 Troy-Bilt Super Bronco and have found, sometimes to my dismay ;o), that the 18.5 horse power is more than sufficient for lawn duty. It's relatively quiet, has an adjustable seat, automatic transmission, cruise control and an amazingly small turn radius for a machine that is not a zero radius mower. It has a 42 inch deck and maneuvers quite well in a yard full of trees, boulders, and plants, but watch out for your hoses. Most things are easily accessible, but ramps would help for oil changes. The Bronco has foot operated gas and brakes. The brake lever is a bit challenging for a big man. You have to raise your leg a bit to apply the breaks. Other than that I am very pleased.
