Troubadour by George Strait (CD, Apr-2008, MCA Nashville)

XM Satellite Radio dedicated a channel to George during April and May, to introduce this new cd, and to showcase his 56 #1 singles. "Troubadour" may be his best album to date, I love every song! It is everything I've come to expect from George! Buy this cd, you won't regret it!

I really like George Strait and this CD did not disappointment me. I especially relate to The Troubadour and If Heartaches Were Horses. Keep up the good work George, for many more years I hope.

If George Strait was a very good singer when he started out, age has turned him into a great singer. The songs on this CD are rendered in a mature, steady way which gives them a much deeper meaning than they might otherwise have had. I hope Mr. Strait goes on for many years making ever better CDs. He is truly the troubadour of the title.

My son asked me to buy this for him. Our first George Strait CD. I like it- I'm not much into country and some of the songs are way too old school for my likes! I love George though - he is very good and has been around for a long time.

He just keeps them coming....everyone is better than the last. I have always enjoyed his talent, but he just gets better with age.

this c.d. is awesome. he has once again put in a good effort to come up with some classic hits. this is a must

Couldn't love the CD more! He has produced another classic CD with wonderful music...He still has most of his original style of music and is now encompassing more of todays country than before. I would like to see George stay more with the types of songs he use to sing than get to much into the current music but no matter what, he will always be my favorite and the King of Country!

Another great CD from King George. One standout song on this CD is "I Saw God Today." A must listen for every George Strait fan!! Highly recommended!!!

King George puts out an album that is sure to please a variety of musical ears. His voice seems to be improving with age as does his choice in songs to record. Definitely one of his finest CD's to date!

I have been a George Strait fan for some time now especially since Pure Country and I Cross My Heart and so I wanted to hear the latest and once again he lays down the music that will pull your heart strings. I think it may rank near the top of his cds and music that he has done this far. I really enjoyed every song on this cd and cannot wait to see if he puts another out and tries to outdo this one. Great CD.

Country music has today so many variations that is difficult to find one single release that represents the origins and the essence of country in a truly authentic way. "Troubadour" by George Strait is one of these examples that still exist of what I call genuine country: horse riding, truck driving in the highway, life in the fields - far away from the madness of urban life - and heartaches.

All of these things are reflected both in the lyrics and in the melody contained in this great piece of recording. A little more than 35 minutes of songs that won't leave you bored and tired before it ends, no fillers, just pure country music to the ears. No single track stands out, all of the 12 are fine.

I love George Strait and his music and so does my husband. I gave him this for his birthday and as always he loved it. He listens to it alot in the car and while at work as he is a truck driver. Recommend it to anyone who likes George Strait.

i always enjoy real country music and this album is definitely country at it's best and an album everyone should own if they like country music even a little

You can't get better than George Strait, right? But my absolute favorite on this CD is Troubadour. I've been a big fan of George Strait for many years and I love to dance to his music.

I am very pleased with my purchase. It arrived in excellent condition and promptly. The item was accurately described.

Better than I had thought. I ordered it as a warm-up to his concert in May that I have tickets for. In the same true fashion of GS, complete with Ballads and honkeytonks.

After all these years George Strait is still putting out the great ones. There are no weak ones on this one, in my opinion. If the radio will play them all they could all go top 10.

Bought this cd for the song Troubadour for my husband. That song is him all over and the first time I heard it I just knew he had to get a copy of it. The cd is excellent.

Got it in time to give as a christmas gift and my grandfather loved it! Was in perfect shape and he loves listening to it!
