Tropico (PC Games, 2001)

Tropico is not like any other game I've played. It puts a somewhat different spin on simulation games. You are "El Presidente" and you can rule your island as you please.

I can sit and play this game for hours without realizing how much time has gone by.

You should try this game if you like simulation games with a unique twist.

I bought this game because I love simulation games. This game is great if you want to add the threat of being overthrown to a sims like game. I would've given it a 5/5 if they put a little more emphasis on the people. For example when your people are unhappy you have to go through multiple screens to figure out what is wrong with them. I think the game could also be improved by adding more information about the items in the game. If you want the information you have to read the whole guide. I do play this game alot since I have both of the add-on packs.

Tropico was an ok game but i got bored with it to fast it was a bit confussing to play at first and maybe the newer versions are better or with expansions

the game is fun, but I was expecting more variables than the first game had. But it is a relaxed way to spend a half hour or more.

This is such a fun game, you get to be a dictator of a small island and try not to run it into the ground.

Decided to buy the game when I realized I lost my original one. Found one on here for a great low price and now I play it all the time. Classic simulation came with some Cuban political taste in which you build up your island with such stuff as businesses and houses. Keep it running and keep the people. Fun game if you're into simulation.

This is an amazing game. It it extremely addicting, i could play for hours. It has a great abundance of scenarios so you never have to play the same game twice. I know anybody would love to run thier own country and this is the best way. This game has far surpassed any other simulation game i've ever played. Every gamer must buy this game.

This game is very fun. I had it years ago and decided to get it again. It's very addicting and can be played many times over. It's challenging and at the same time not frustrating. A couple things I really enjoy about this game are the dynamic people. They aren't just masses, but individuals. And I also like that you get to choose which leader you are. Each leader has different characteristics that make playing this game unique. Bottom line, a very fun game that most people will enjoy!

I am SO pleased with this game! I love the original tropico but with the expansion pack it's even better! My husband started playing it too, now he's taken ownership of my game...the best part, I think, is being able to rotate the buildings. Now I wish they would do something about the roads being more than just dirt. Highly recommend this game with expansion pack!

The Game is fun ! You can get tips off of the internet but its a lot of resposibilities to manage your own Island. This game is though Time Consuming i must warn! The next thing your know two hours have passed. Have fun!
