Recorded in 2003 but unreleased until 2005, TRIALS AND ERRORS is the debut of Jason Molina's Magnolia Electric Co. following his retirement of his previous project name Songs: Ohia. Recorded live in Brussels during Songs: Ohia's last European tour, the album finds Molina in full homage to Neil Young and Crazy Horse circa EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS IS NOWHERE, right down to the s***** of Young's "Tonight's the Night" that Molina and band interpolate into the final song, "The Big Beast."
