Pretty good book
This book was good. Deals with South Carolina in 1918. The story about a woman who yearns for women's right to vote, education and a better life.
Her mother, however, is against the changes, unable to accept her desire for more than what they have. She wants her daughter to follow in her footsteps as a grower and healer of herbal remedies.
It seems that nothing can reconcile these two women going in very different directions. That is until violence and the great flu epidemic change their lives forever.
Very good historical novel.
