TREASURE OF KHAN
Review created: 03/03/08(updated 03/03/08)

After having read SAHARA and INCA GOLD I had to read MORE Clive Cussler novels. I shopped at a couple local outlets, looking for the newest (2006) release TREASURE OF KHAN written by Cussler and his son DIRK CUSSLER (named in honor of the hero of this series of novels; DIRK PITT. Of course I purchased it through eBay...got a better deal than at any retail outlet.
(based on a the description from Wikapedia)...DIRK PITT is written IN THE STYLE of Indiana Jones, MacGyver and James Bond...Six Three with craggy looks, dark wavy hair and green eyes...Pitt has a commanding presence which combined with a quick, sly wit often infuriates those opposed to him. His comical banter with sidekick Al Giordino during stressful situations leaves the reader with little doubt that both are confident of their abilities. While Dirk may be considered the hero of the two, Al Giordino is the man behind him.
IN THIS EPISODE it is left to Dirk and Al to stop one man determined to use the world's need for oil into his chance to rule all. The story traces back to a hunt for the tomb and treasure of GENGHIS KHAN. Dirk and Al can never turn down a treasue hunt, and this one leads them to Mongolia.
IT IS SO MUCH FUN TO READ...this is yet another Cussler novel that I could not put down.
