Nothing like a game that makes you feel smarter than you really are...at least for me anyway...
Trauma Center: Second Opinion requires a steady hand a quick mind to advance through it's complex storyline. As this was one of the first games I got for the Wii, I was skeptical that the Wii's remote would be accurate enough make such precise incisions. However, despite my shaky hands, the remote is dead-on which makes this a very fair and fun game.
For those who are a little queasy, beware...I mean, it is surgery. Exposed wounds and a little blood will pop up from time to time, but, certainly nothing gory. My wife plays and she can't stand the sight of blood...usually.
I enjoy the replay value that this game offers. It's not enough to just complete surgery, you're graded on your performance (time completed, # of mistakes, etc.). And, if that wasn't enough, there are different levels of play, including the infamous 'hard' mode that may jangle your nerves if you're not careful.
One thing that some may see as a downside is that it closely parallels the DS version of Trauma Center. Aside from better graphics and an extra level, it's nearly the same game. But, I don't own a DS, so it's not a problem for me!
Overall, a challenging and unique game. It takes advantage of the Wii's remote accuracy without pushing your nerves over the edge. A fun game that involves some quick decisions, but not too much thinking...I mean, it's not like it's brain surgery...oh, wait...I guess some of it is...
