Traffic - The Last Great Traffic Jam (DVD, 2005, 2-Disc Set)

This is a great concert film. I have always liked Traffic and Steve Winwood's solo material. I had just bought the Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood live DVD. Watching the Clapton/Winwood set, made me want to get some Traffic concert material. So I decided to get this two disc set. I am not disappointed with this set at all. The music is great. The sound of the music is great. The video is also very good. It sounds like the old Traffic to me, but it sounds fresher. If you are a Steve Winwood/Traffic fan, you cannot go wrong with this concert film.

I purchased as a christmas gift for my son. He again was estatic when he received the movie. Awesome movie. As in previous reviews I tell all my friends to buy on ebay. The movies are in outstanding condition and the price is excellent. Thanks Much

this is the best concert video i've ever seen. of course i am a huge traffic
fan. there is not a bad song on this dvd. i loved being able to see songs
performed that previously i could only here.

I was not really a big Traffic fan. I liked some of their songs but they did not blow me away like Cream or Hendrix. But when I saw the Steve Winwood performances on the Eric Clapton Crossroads concert DVD. (Which is fantastic disc also) So, I thought I would rent the Traffic disc and check it out. Well I was floored. In fact I went out and bought the double CD and the DVD also. It is on of the most high energy performances I have ever seen. I love this disc. These guys can really play and there are a few new musicians in the group that just flat out smoke. I have watched it 3 times. Steve has made some different arrangements to the songs amd brought a latin feel to a lot of the tunes that remind me of a Jazz, Funk Santana sound all the time keeping true to the origional Traffic feel and sound. There are some extended jams and guest artist. You can't go wrong with this disc. The only negitive is that in some of the songs they cut from the concert footage to some weird Physcodelic stuff that is just stupid. Thankfully it's only about 10% of the time. So I think it's still well worth it.. The sound quality is excellent also.
