Movie Description
TRADING SPACES combines the excitement of reality TV with the innovative DIY spirit of an updated Martha Stewart. The simple premise revolves around two sets of neighbors, each of whom are given license to redecorate one room in their friends' home. The couples are provided with a designer, a carpenter, $1000 dollars, and 48 hours with which to work their magic; they also have free reign in choosing whether or not to abide by the owner's wishes. This makes for a dramatic reveal at the end, when the homeowners are shown into their new spaces, incredibly altered for better or worse! This collection of five episodes takes on the heart of every home: the kitchen. Join host Paige Davis, carpenter Ty Pennington (EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION) and the team of ace designers, including Doug Wilson (MOVING UP), Genevieve Gorder (TOWN HALL), and Bern Yip, as they display their remarkable creativity in the kitchen.
