So the children approach a strange old woman with magical powers and ask her to give them a new mom -- one who's fun to be with, who's interesting and unusual. So Mrs. Cavour conjures up a few mothers so the kids can choose who they like. But they quickly discover that the exotic, the wealthy and the weird don't quite fit the bill...Based on Nancy Brelis' short story "The Mommie Market."
