This CD was excellent. Of course, more so when it first came out in 1998 - as Tracy's style has since been copied. There are some soul searching hits on this album. It's a thought provoking collection. Tracks include:

I've always been a big fan of the great voice of Tracy Chapman. She's truly an underrated talent. Her lyrics and messages through her songs are definitely what sets her apart from most other artists. Ths CD is one of my favorites of all time.

I had a previous copy of this CD but lost it. Glad I was able to find one on e-bay. This Album is the best of Tracy's Chapman's collection. All of the songs are fantastic. A must have for any Tracy Chapman fan.

I loved this CD, I would play it over and over in the late 80's. I am not sure you are going to find any true singer song writters anymore. Hold on to this album, it is a classic.

I know everyone heard fast car but this cd is so much more and hear what they never played on the radio and should have! Her sorrow and inspiration is heard and felt with every cord. There is Pure beauty is her voice and lyrics...

I had an old cassette tape of Tracy Chapman that was going very bad. I love Tracy Chapman and her music, so I decided to find a CD of the same album. Since it is from 1988, the regular stores didn't carry it, and I decided eBay was the way to go!

Not only did I find the right CD, for a very reasonable price, the seller sent it to me immediately (upon payment). It is in excellent condition, and I am happy listening to Tracy.

The music is awesome! I used to listen to this music when I was younger and I wanted to listen to it again... It makes me remember old times.

I grew up with my mom listening to this in her car for as long as I can remember. I remember all of the songs, but never grew an appreciation for it again until recently I listened to the lyrics and realized how politically driven and emotionally compelling they are.

Tracy Chapman uses her stirring voice mixed with her ability to write amazing songs on poverty and the struggles of African-Americans in today's society. Although this was produced 20 years ago, most of the lyrics still hold up to today.

If you're looking for something new to listen to, but nothing is good on the radio, get this CD - you won't regret it.

This album came out of leftfield in 1988... no one knew who this Tracy Chapman was, but we all heard Fast Car on the radio and thought, let's take a listen... every song on the album is harder hitting than Fast Car and you're left crying and replaying it again and again.

It holds up great over the past 2 decades and I recently purchased the CD version of it.

I like her style of singing about real life situations in urban city life. The music is expressed with a lot from the heart.
