
Good workout; different from other exercise videos.

I selected this video due to the style of exercise (pilates/yoga/dance) and the lengthening effect they have on a body. The DVD is divided into different sections so you can select which fit your time and interests for the day.
All sections of the video are heavy in balance moves, helping work the core muscles.
The resistance portion (some using light dumbells) is different from any others I've done...in a good way! In general, most resistance training videos concentrate on doing one or two exercises in very high repititions on a muscle (such as bicep) and stretching only at the very end of the entire workout. In contrast, Tracey Mallett does alot of different (low repetition) exercises for a muscle, so you don't get bored and stretching is interspersed throughout the workout.
The cardio portion I feel is fine as a warm-up to the resistance training, however, it is light enough that I will opt for other exercises or videos on a cardio only day.
All exercise videos recommend watching the video prior to exercising to it. Anyone who is not somewhat familiar with yoga should definitely watch the video first to get familiar with the poses.
Overall, I definitely liked the work-out and look forward to trying additional workouts by Tracey Mallett.
