Excellent movie with Richard Pryor. Not only was it very funny but also teaches lessons in life. See how Richard Pryors character changes this spoiled rotten child into a respectful, loving child. Beware of a lot of bad language and adult situations but I loved it!

Ofcourse, we all know that Jackie Gleason and Richard Pryor were a couple of the funniest around. This movie is wonderful in as much as it teaches a lesson in caring and showing someone how to care. It's also a very funny movie and very enjoyable.

This is a must have for any collector. It's funny, and sweet, and keeps you laughing. Jackie Gleason gives an awesome performance as a stiff necked tycoon trying to relate to his adolescent son. Throw Richard Pryor into the mix as a "hired" toy for the spoiled child and it makes for loads of side splitting giggles.

I love this movie and I remember watching when I was a kid. My husband is a movie freak, I mean he has seen just about every movie known to man! When I started talking to him about this movie he didn't know what I was talking about and said he hadn't seen it! I just had to get it! And when I did a search on here for it, I honestly couldn't believe I found! Anyway, its a funny movie!

I LOVE this show and wanted it on DVD for my kids. Richard Pryor is HILARIOUS! Glad I found someone who was fast and accurate in their product and shipping. I have the DVD and my kids and I had a fun night watching it.

If your a Richard Pryor fan.. this is a must see movie.. this is my husbands favorite all time movie at the age of 32. Our daughter [8 years old] loves the movie too! There isn't one scene that i can say that i like the best or favored because i loved the entire movie! If you want to laugh.. watch this movie!

This is a great movie... Enjoyed it as a child, when it aired on HBO... If you haven't seen it, and like Richard Pryor, get it.... He shocks america, because he plays a different role in The Toy, meaning that he didn't curse excessively, which was different from most of his movies, or comedy, either stand up, or on LP's or cassettes...

A lot of Richard Pryor is filthy and vulgar. This movie is more or less sweet and does teach life lessons as another reviewer says.

The beauty of the movie is that it just doesn't take itself too serious.

This is easily my second favorite Richard Pryor movie.

Way ahead of my third and not far behind my second. You will have to look for my other reviews to find out what they are.

This is a great holiday movie to break out of the DVD collection or find as part of a after X-mas holiday sale.
