Tourist Season by Carl Hiaasen

Tourist Season by Carl Hiaasen is another funny, sick (in a good way) treatment of Florida's development and the response people who grew up in Florida have to the over population, removal of all things Florida to make room for all things touristy. You don't have to be from Florida to like the book, though. It helps if you have a slightly bent sense of humor. I have friends who love Hiaasen, and other friends who just don't get him or like him at all. It seems to be an either-or, love-hate thing. It helps if you were raised somewhere that was wonderful that has been developed into something bad. I buy Hiaasen on EBAY because I can't find the books in local used stores. The books are in great shape for used books. I'm used to Ketchup and grease on local used books but these books are clean and intact. shipping takes a while but the wait is worth it. By the way, Hiaasen is fiction, quirky murder mystery, and laugh out loud funny.
