The Tourist by Olen Steinhauer (2009)
I was interested and curious about this book after reading that George Clooney has optioned the rights for this thriller. After many sleepless nights reading, I've completely understand why he chose to do this. The hero or protagonist, Milo Weaver, is a CIA black-ops assassin, who is a decent, caring, and likable character frustrated by being manipulated by the system. It's easy to get drawn into the well-crafted plot and be privy to the secrets of how this fictious? society operates and thinks. I felt many emotions such as excitement, love, loyalties, outrage, anger, and most of all compassion for this frustrated agent. Excellent, satisfying read, money well spent, looking forward for the movie in the future.
