Tour Edge Exotics XLD Driver Golf Club

This driver is incredible! I don't know if it's the stealth bomber shape or what, but this is extremely easy to square up and get in the slot. I have tried most other drivers with poor results, I will be keeping this driver for a long time. Another huge bonus is the tour edge company, lifetime warranty on clubs - who does that?

I tried the XLD driver at a local golf show. I like it even better than the new XLD LS! The club is an inch longer than most drivers. It is also lighter. The great thing is that the ball doesn't even know what hit it. be prepared for long walks from the tee box to your ball. I found I had to let the group in front of me get further down the fairway before I teed off. This club is very forgiving to the golfer, but not so kind to the poor golf ball. I swear the ball almost jumped off the face of the club and yelled "OW!" as it sailed into the distance. I don't know how much I'd like it at $200+, but I love it at the Ebay price!

The club looks great at address and feels good, as well. The ball flight seems higher than I am used to but the distance is good. When the hands release properly the ball sails. If you cut the ball, just a little, it will punish you. I have a tour Edge Bazooka that I love so I thought I would try it's higher -end cousin. I think I wiil spend some time on the range and it will be fine.

WOW! The ball explodes off the face and they are very forgiving. I like the lighter weight like the Burner but longer. Great buy and promptly shipped.

I was looking for a driver with high launch and low spin.
That is the best combination for maximum distance.
I compared the XLD to my 5 existing drivers from top companies and whether it was a $500-600 driver or a $300.00 driver they all were not quite the total package of launch and spin.
Tour Edge was not only a deal but it was the best combo of the two key ingredients in hitting it further.
I hit it 20-25 yards past the rest first swing, I'm thrilled with it have reccomended to my friends who aren't close by, don't need to arm the competition.
Then when you register your club on line you get a free 20.00 glove.
Got my glove in three days now I've got a 3 wood(metal) coming and you get the glove deal with that as well.

I'm very happy to reccomend this driver and company Bob in pre-owned off the web site was very helpful actually calls you back.!!! How refreshing that is today.
I chose a reg. shaft with 9 degrees loft for more flex and yet a boring flight to get max distance it's better to have more flex than less if you need distance.

I'm now looking at getting a bag as well since I bought irons and am 100% tour edge except my putter.

In my opinion if you can't hit this club further you need a lesson.

After my past experience with Tour Edge drivers and fairway woods I expected this driver to play much better. This driver is pretty weird looking at address. That's OK to me as long as the club hits good. At first hit, I knew this club would not go in the bag. It sounded like a beer can on a stick to start with. Even with this, when I looked up I fully expected to see a drive flying long and straight... what I saw was a ball flying that looked like it had a cut in it. Very weak, with no power. I hit the driver several more times comparing it to several of my other drivers. This thing probably hit at about 80% the distance of my Ping G10, and my Callaway FT-9.

I don't know what Tour Edge designers were drinking when they built this disaster of a club, but I'd like to have some. All I can say is STAY AWAY!
