Tour Edge Houdini Driver: Magical? Yes, if ego allows

The Tour Edge Houdini driver was created to solve some specific problems that average recreational players have -- getting off the tee and into the fairway consistently, without embarassing yourself either with a huge slice, whack, or having to resort to your "unmanly" 3 wood.
It is essentially a giant 3 wood, a driver size head, with a huge, sloping 16 degree face that looks like a cliff. At address, you can't help but think "I CAN hit this thing!" The shaft is slightly shorter than normal, which keeps swing errors down, and helps you swing more aggressively. The design of the head makes it go STRAIGHT! While not quite as long as some other drivers (probably 10-20 yards shorter on average), it has the advantage of being a STROKE SAVER because you will rarely mishit this bad boy ... and ... despite the 16 degree loft, it goes farther than you might think. On tight courses, where shot-making is at a premium, this driver rules. If you aren't hitting the fairway 60-70% of the time with your current driver, you need this club.
For senior players, this driver is a godsend. For recreational players with huge slices, you can't go wrong. For slower swingers, the shorter shaft will be easier to manage. It inspire confidence in everyone. For once, you can stand on the teebox and not tremble in fear. YOU can drive the ball!
The only two drawbacks ... and they mostly don't matter .. is that it does loft the ball pretty high, so windy days may affect the ball a bit, and you won't get as much roll on a wet fairway .... and it is not as workable because it is designed to GO STRAIGHT! But for most golfers, I am willing to bet that you will save far more strokes with this puppy than what you will sacrifice because of its designed limitations.
In fact, if golf companies were smart, the basic driver for EVERY high handicap recreational player would look like the Houdini, but they know that guys have egos the size of Texas, and we all want a "big stick" ... even if we spend most of our time hitting out from under trees and searching for balls in the swamp.
Seniors usually have put their ego better in check, and so they are the ones most often using the Houdini, saving strokes, and kicking your behind with 200 yard drives because they don't make ego errors. (BTW, for reference, I usually hit regular flex shafts on name brand drivers, and drive 230-250 .... my average with the Houdini is about 220. I have a regular and stiff flex Houdini, and I can hit the stiff in the 230-250 range as well, many times ... hmmmm.)
So, your choice ... big ego, or lower scores. Make some magic of your own on the golf course .....
