Touched (DVD, 2006)

My husband and I had the pleasure of watching this movie last night together. I wasn't sure how I would like it, but was really pleasantly surprised. I loved it! It's a very romantic drama about a man who in the beginning of the movie is getting ready to take his son to his mom's house. Apparently the couple had been seperated. You watch them interact and their love for eachother, but as they are in their driveway, they get hit by another car and the next thing you know is he's in the hospital laying in a coma.

At this point, you are introduced to the nurse in his care. She has been caring for him for 2 years while he's been in the coma. She reads to him, talks to him, shaves him, etc...She is one of those special nurses that goes the extra mile in not just caring for the physical needs of her patients, but for the emotional needs as well.

At one point, the man wakes up out of the coma, and his nurse is the key to his recovery. I would tell you more, but then you wouldn't go out and watch it!

It's heart-warming, romantic, and has a wonderful message about never giving up on the ones that we love, and never taking them for granted. You won't be sorry you watched this movie. Jenna Elfman is fantastic in it!!!
