That Touch of Mink (DVD, 2001, Cary Grant Collection)

i liked the story line in general. very solid cast. has alot of funny quips from grant and a solid cinematic style. but the story does drag a bit in the middle. it starts out great runs aground inbetween and then takes off at the end. I think i loved the script that was written for grant. they always give him such witty barbs to intercede for characters. i would recommend it for everyone. but i don't think it will apeal to everyone. not as good a s pillow talk or north by northwest. but grant or day lovers will enjoy

Enjoyed this movie. It is very funny and I laughed so hard it hurt my stomach. It is good to see a move that is not violent and not sexually explicit. The movied today are so warped and makes you feel depressed. Even the so called funny movies make sex or severe violence the center and I get sick and tired of this kind of movie. The world is depressed enough. We need movies like they made back in the 50 and 60's. We need to laugh and be lighthearted.

I ordered That Touch of Mink on DVD. I was super excited about my purchase and it was the best price I have seen. I chose to by shipping above standard. I waited about 3 weeks before i received my order. I would order from this seller again but I would go into the purchase knowing that i might have to wait a few weeks for my item.

One of the best classic film pairings of all time. Cary Grant shows a wonderful comedic talent delivered as only Cary Grant could. Pair this dry wit with Doris Day's hilarious timing, and you have a match made in heaven... or at least in New York. A great film that stands the test of time. Wonderful to find it now on DVD to entertain a new generation.

Cary Grant is the finest actor ever. And Cary and Doris Day make this a hilarious movie. And Audrey Meadows and Gig Young are superb in there roles. Excellent movie. This movie makes you happy and keeps you laughing from start to finish something so many movies now a days lack.

PLOT: HANDSOME WEALTHY PHILLIP SHANE (Cary Grant) has women falling all over him~ he accidentally splashes mud ON working girl (Doris Day)with his rolls royce~ and HE sees a pretty women with a brain who turns him "down" after he invites her to the Bahamas for a "weekend" with him~ ADD Day who is pretty and very likeable as Cathy a girl with morals who decides she changes her mind and INVITES HIM~ and calls Shane back for the weekend~ suddenly the fun begins with Cathy (DAY) realizes she cannot be BAD after all~ now Shane is fed up and wondering why he ever put himself to the bother but he is "stuck" on Cathy any way~ add to the fun is GIG YOUNG as the side kick of Shane who is cheering Cathy on as the first woman to turn down Shane~AND ENJOYS EVERY MINUTE THAT CATHY SAYS NO TO SHANE~ SO how can Cathy get Shane's attention one more time? make him jealous~ ah ....enter John Astin as the sleazy man ....he is hysterical AS the oozing man low enough to get Shane to "rescue" her from this "REPULSIVE SUITOR" ~ and FUN & FUNNY

I like the fact that I was able to find a few old Doris Day's DVD on ebay. I decided to buy them as a gift for my sister and as far as disliking anything she has yet to see the movie to see how they are.

Doris and Cary at their very best!!! This is a comedy classic that is a must have for any one that is a Doris Day or Cary Grant fan!~!!
