Total Recall (DVD, 2002, Special Edition)

Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger) goes to a new business that implants false memories. He doesn't have the money to go to Mars but would like to remember a vacation there. Something goes wrong and he suddenly remember being on Mars. People are trying to kill him including his "wife" (Sharon Stone). He discovers that there is a conspiracy on Mars. He sneaks to Mars to investigate what is really going on. I read the orginal short story "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale" which inspired this movie. The special effects are outstanding. This movie was released twenty years ago but is still great. There is plenty of action, blood and gore to satisfy the blood thirsty fans. You can find a copy of this movie for a very reasonable price.

One of Arnold's great films of all-time. For a move that came out in 1990, the special effects look great and the action is intense. This a must have for your DVD collection.

Many pass this off as a mindless Arnold flick. I highly disagree, this is probably the most underrated film starring everyone's favorite action star, Arnold Schwarzenegger. This movie was made before this dark age of CGI and Michael Bay, the action is spectacular, the fight scenes are very entertaining, the women are attractive, and Arnold puns always give me giggles. However, the acting isn't all that great, I mean Arnold was playing Arnold which is alright, but the guy playing the lead villain was not good at all. He also played Dick Jones in Robocop, and he basically played the same character. Also, the plot is a little complicated, especially for a Schwarzenegger flick, so be prepared to pay attention to the flick. Overall, Id reccomend this to any action movie/sci-fi fan. However, if you are a film snob of the 21st century whom dosent appreciate the art of fun entertainment, than this is totally not the movie for you.

Arno does it again with another excellent movie! He does not try to be what he isn't, he just does what he does best. The script is well written & the cast backs it up with a solid performance. The action is there & had plenty of laughs as Arno does it again & shows why he is an action star. The critics like to bash arno, butt his fans will not be disappointed as again he comes through with an excellent movie. The plot has some twists that may have you scratch your head, butt if you don't over think it & just roll with it, you will be in for a treat. A must own for any arno fan!

i love this movie . the movie is one of his best. i haven't watched this movie in a long time but im sure i will still like the movie as much as i every did

I knew that it would have good action scenes with Arnold in the movie. When it first came out in theatres, it seemed futuristic and when I saw it again recently it still holds up pretty well as something that could still occur in the immediate future. Sharon Stone plays the part very well as a beautiful, loyal wife who is also a potential killer. Arnold's one liners fit well in this movie. Loved it!
